I served in the Navy, a plankowner aboard the USS BOSTON (SSN-703) Decommissioned in 1999 and scrapped in 2002. Now I find myself in the unique cradle-to-grave position of helping to care for its remains at the Buffalo & Erie County Naval & Military Park. All that really remain are the sail and rudder shipped here in 2003 along with a few cleats. I feel like I'm caring for a vessel that met a premature and untimely demise. Now I care for her remains. ...Sort of.

A few from "Technical Rehearsal"
Okay, so I didn't get any photos from the Dress Rehearsal! Go ahead, take me out back and shoot me! <bang!> But I did get a few from "tech-rehearsal" and fortunately, left the folder on the monitor, even though I pulled the flash card out of the reader, so this is just from the screen captures. this IS the girl I do the Tango with though...

Are you affiliated with the "Red Hats"?
ReplyDeleteI went to your sites, really professional performances from what I am looking at.
ReplyDeleteNo, we are not affiliated with the "Red Hat Ladies" we do however have a number of their groups that will be attending the show this year, perhaps only a few hundred will be there, or maybe more. Thus our director in a bit of artistic license has altered the words to one song that we will be singing, sort of as a "tip-of-the-hat" to them. We, on rare occasions do that in a show. We expect it will draw a thunderous applause from them! Aside from all the hard work, we really do have a lot of fun putting on this show.
ReplyDeleteAhh yes, puck the lesbian fairy..good part to play! Time to tighten your valve again.....
ReplyDeleteGee, you learn something everyday here! i didn't know Ellen had a brother named Allan who was a lesbian too! How DID he manage that?
ReplyDeleteI always thought Ellen was the Thesbian-Lesbian gone talk-show host. Thanks for enlightening us about her family!
