Temporarily Disabled due to pending Knee Surgery...so don't get-outta-joint!
Labels: Knee surgery
I served in the Navy, a plankowner aboard the USS BOSTON (SSN-703) Decommissioned in 1999 and scrapped in 2002. Now I find myself in the unique cradle-to-grave position of helping to care for its remains at the Buffalo & Erie County Naval & Military Park. All that really remain are the sail and rudder shipped here in 2003 along with a few cleats. I feel like I'm caring for a vessel that met a premature and untimely demise. Now I care for her remains. ...Sort of.

Hey, that's how this whole blogging business got started! I'm not throwing or banning anyone, nor censoring posts...you think I'm a facist-dictator or something???
Okay, okay!! I'll admit, the design still needs some modification....I'll work on it. But I wanted to get all the various BOSTON vessels represented that happen to have real photographs available...hehe, I thought you'd like the one of the Protected Cruiser after it went through it's 1918 conversion (rare photo!) Since after 1918 the navy sort of emasculated that vessel!
...BTW: The knee is slowly healing, I still keep it on ice pretty much 24/7 and don't have a doctor's written clearance to return to work yet...yeah! (Required by my work)
Hey, it's NYS! They have become a state of lawyer-fearing, litigation-minded employers!! I tell you, attorneys have become too powerful!
