Ted's Hot Dog's ...A Buffalo Tradition since 1927!!!


Yeah, I said Ted's has been around over 50 years, what I should've done was look it up and get my facts straight, Ted's has been selling hot dog's almost 80 years!! I still remember that original location nearby the Peace Bridge, then they expanded it and relocated across the street (Porter Avenue) in the late 1960's and finally after opening a number of locations out in the suburbs, they sold the original location to a competitor in the 1990's, they ran the place into the ground and it finally closed a few years ago. Bruce,the show I watched said the "original" building was a tool crib that "Ted" bought after they were done using it to build the Peace Bridge.*0 years old huh? I was right about it being as old as Wes!

Yes, if you read the history, the original propriator sold sandwiches and the like out of the tool crib which was very much like a shack. You know, one of those "walk-up" kinda' hot dog stands, it had "character" something none of the current stores has.
